Includes are several teacher's editions in Middle School and High School Language Arts, Mathematics and Social Studies from McDougal Littell.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The best thing about these new additions to the library is that the companion software allows you to pick a topic and find premade lesson plans, activities, and additional resources for the chapter/ unit of your choice. The books have colorful, magazine quality photos and include features like maps, glossaries or indices. There are 10 social studies titles per level, a six-pack of each title is available. There is also a teacher’s guide for each grade level set.&lt;br /&gt;“Book Treks” is a series of leveled fiction and nonfiction books on a variety of social studies &amp; science topics. Each level has 27 titles including Geography, History, Citizenship and Cultural Awareness. A teacher’s manual is included.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p align="center"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#990000;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Math&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;“Family Math”&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; is a series in which activities are designed to engage children and promote success in mathematics. The activities are based on NCTM standards for each level, and were also created with awareness regarding gender and cultural biases often associated with math curriculum. There are three levels; Early, K-6, and Middle School.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some other recent math items with great kid appeal are: &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;M&amp;M Math, Apple Fractions, Skittles Riddles, Pizza Fractions, Hershey Kisses Subtraction, Menu Math&lt;/strong&gt;, and &lt;strong&gt;Rainbow Fractions&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We also have 25 new children’s literature titles from the &lt;strong&gt;Math/Literature Connections&lt;/strong&gt; book series and accompanying teacher’s guides. The set has 40 titles. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The &lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;“DRA”&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; (Developmental Reading Assessment) is now available in the library. There are two kits; one for K-3 and one for grades 4-8.
